A compact residential commission on a narrow infill site in northern New South Wales. The project began with a single constraint: maximise natural light within a very limited footprint.

The solution is a section-driven design: a double-height living space at the rear opens to a north-facing courtyard, with a Japanese-influenced timber screen providing privacy from the laneway while admitting filtered afternoon light.
